Job summary

Stellarmann, on behalf of a leading London Market insurer, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a major data transformation programme. You will design, build and optimise an Azure-based data platform using Databricks to replace legacy solutions.

You will work in a high-profile team, applying Medallion Architecture, advanced SQL, and strong data engineering practices. Insurance domain experience, especially London Market, is essential, with onsite 1-2 days per week in London.

Our sister company, Stellarmann, is partnering with a leading London Market insurer to recruit an experienced Data Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a significant enterprise-wide data transformation programme, helping to deliver a modern data platform that will replace multiple legacy data warehouse and reporting solutions with a cutting-edge Azure and Databricks architecture.

Working as part of a high-profile transformation team, you will play a key role in designing, building and optimising enterprise-scale data solutions that support the organisation's long-term data strategy.

Experience required:

• Strong Data Engineering experience within Azure environments
• Hands on experience designing and building enterprise data platforms
• Experience implementing and working within Medallion Architecture
• Advanced SQL
• Previous insurance industry experience is essential, with London Market insurance experience highly desirable

This is a contract role paying a competitive market day rate outside IR35 and requires 1-2 days a week in their London office.
