Job summary

Peaple Talent is partnering with a forward-thinking UK energy sector organisation to hire a Data Engineer in London, on-site three days per week. You will help design and build scalable data pipelines, develop ETL/ELT processes, and shape robust data models for a cloud data platform.

You’ll work with SQL, Python, Spark, Kafka, Airflow and Dagster, collaborating with analysts, engineers and product teams to deliver impactful data solutions in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Solid SQL and Python experience.
• Experience with Pandas and NumPy.
• Familiar with AI tools and data modeling concepts.
• Experience with open-source data processing frameworks.
• UK Energy Sector experience preferred.

Peaple Talent are working exclusively with an innovative organisation in the UK energy sector that's investing heavily in its data platform and looking to hire a Data Engineer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing engineering team where you'll design and build scalable data pipelines, develop ETL/ELT processes, create robust data models, and help shape the future of the company's cloud data platform.

What you'll be doing:

• Design, develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines using open-source frameworks and tools
• Build and optimise ETL and ELT processes for small to large-scale data processing requirements
• Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, engineers and product teams to understand data requirements and translate them into robust data solutions

You'll ideally have:

• Strong SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy or Spark)
• Experience with open-source data processing and orchestration frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow or Dagster
• Experience building and optimising data pipelines
• Knowledge of AI tools
• A passion for building scalable, high-quality data solutions
• Experience in the UK Energy Sector
