BJSS data engineers are specialized software engineers responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining data applications, systems, and services. This role combines software engineering discipline with expertise in developing data solutions to deliver business value.

As a BJSS data engineer, you will assist clients in deploying data pipelines and processes securely in production environments, leveraging the latest technologies within a DataOps culture.

You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment within multidisciplinary teams of skilled consultants, delivering modern data platforms to large organizations. You can expect to engage in various projects across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), utilizing data services such as Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Kafka, Redshift, Glue, Athena, BigQuery, S3, Cloud Data Fusion, among others.

About You

  • You're an engineer at heart, passionate about building reliable, efficient data applications, systems, services, and platforms.
  • You possess a solid understanding of coding best practices, design patterns, and experience with code and data versioning, dependency management, code quality, optimization, error handling, logging, monitoring, validation, and alerting.
  • You have experience writing well-tested object-oriented Python code.
  • You are familiar with CI/CD tools to analyze, build, test, and deploy code.
  • You understand design considerations for data storage and processing, especially in cloud data services.
  • You have experience with parallel computing to process large datasets and optimize computationally intensive tasks.
  • You are skilled in deploying, scheduling, and monitoring workflow components programmatically.
  • You can write complex queries against relational and non-relational data stores.
