A leading tech consultancy in Birmingham is seeking a Data Engineer for a 6-month engagement focused on developing a PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) service. The project involves implementing data quality controls on AWS and using technologies such as Scala, Snowflake, and PostgresSQL. Candidates should have strong skills in handling data quality and collaboration with stakeholders. This role is office-based 2 days a week.

Project Overview: PEP as a service (Data Quality, Data Control Framework implementation)
This project sits within our client's Financial Crime area. The key focus is on a brand-new project called PEP as a service. A PEP solution refers to a system or process for handling Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) in the context of anti-money laundering (AML) and financial crime compliance.
The intention is to build out an automated system which individuals can complete, removing the need for manual operations to vet individuals.
The existing technology stack is moving from Oracle database to Postgres SQL database; the team need extra support to help fulfil the following.
