Job summary

PA Consulting in Belfast is seeking a Data Engineer to build scalable, high-performance applications on AWS. You will design and deploy production data pipelines, create data warehouses, and work on various client projects across multiple sectors.

The role involves collaboration with various teams, problem-solving with clients, and hybrid working conditions requiring in-office presence at least two days a week. Join us to impact exciting data-driven projects!

Qualifications

• Experience designing and deploying production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within a big data architecture.
• Experience writing scripts, extracting data using APIs, and writing SQL queries.
• Experience processing structured and unstructured data on AWS cloud.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Data Engineer to build scalable, high‑performance applications on AWS. The role involves designing and deploying production data pipelines, building data warehouses and lakes, and working on a variety of client projects across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities

• Work to agile best practices and cross‑functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Problem‑solve with clients using technical skills on internal and client projects.
• Participate in live in‑person whiteboarding sessions and asynchronous communication on Teams.
• Hybrid working with the team on client sites or in our office a minimum of two days per week; up to five days on client site.
• Design and build solutions on the AWS cloud.

Tech Stack

• AWS cloud technologies for ETL pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes.
• AWS services such as EMR, Glue, RedShift, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB.
• Java, Python, Scala, Spark, SQL.

Qualifications

• Problem‑solving and analytical mindset.
