About the Global Data & BI Team

We are building a leading data and BI function to empower Odevo with data-driven insights. Our team is responsible for developing a global data platform, establishing data enablement practices, and delivering impactful BI solutions across the organisation.

About the Role

The Data Enablement Lead is responsible for advancing data practices to align with Odevo's business and data strategies. This role involves engaging stakeholders to define and document data quality requirements, translating them into processes that enhance trust in data and facilitate the stewardship and governance of reporting and analytics data. To achieve this the lead will define, establish and facilitate relevant forums and communities to help improve data management and support the delivery and use of data products. Engaging with Data Owners, Stewards, and members of relevant governance boards.The lead be a critical cog in the Data & BI team and interface with projects and initiatives to superpower the Odevo Data asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Data Enablement Framework (covering Data Change, Data Ownership, Data Cataloguing, Data Lineage, Data Quality, and Data Governance processes) ensuring its consistent application across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Data and BI to align the Data Strategy, delivery roadmap, and Data Enablement Framework.
  • Engage with business stakeholders and the Data and BI team to implement a robust data enablement program, improving data quality and accessibility.
  • Own and manage data quality metrics, dashboards, the data catalogue, and assets explaining data lineage.
  • Chair relevant forums, facilitating better data quality practices and data stewardship and ownership.
  • Oversee Data Enablement Performance Reporting, including data quality metrics and KPIs.
  • Review and approve data-related initiatives and projects, ensuring Enablement requirements are met.
  • Educate data users on data usage principles and policies, ensuring responsibilities are communicated and updated.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Data Management, Governance and/or Enablement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to drive engaging and effective transformation.
  • Proven track record in leading company-wide data Enablement initiatives.
  • Experience in creating and implementing a Data Enablement Framework.
  • Robust understanding of management practices, including information lifecycle management, MDM, and data modelling.
  • Experience in conducting Data Enablement audits and implementing actions based on findings.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Skilled in measuring, reviewing, and optimising data KPIs.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication, capable of developing clear requirement specifications.
