Qualifications

• Experience across data governance, data management, data quality or MDM, alongside strong communication and influencing skills.
• Experience embedding stewardship models and supporting business or digital transformation would be particularly relevant.
• Comfortable working with technical specialists on enterprise systems, integrations and data flows, making complex concepts accessible to business audiences.

TURN DATA GOVERNANCE INTO EVERYDAY BUSINESS IMPACT - DATA GOVERNANCE/MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT NEEDED - 3-6 MONTH INITIAL ENGAGEMENT - REMOTE ON OFFER

I'm currently supporting a client looking for a Data Governance & Management Lead to embed a business-led data culture across their organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Data and Analytics, you'll help teams understand the value of data as a shared business asset, translating governance principles into practical responsibilities and everyday behaviours. The role combines data management expertise, stakeholder engagement and organisational change, with responsibilities including:

• Establishing and embedding Data Owner and Data Steward responsibilities across key data domains.
• Building engagement through workshops, training, communications and coaching.
• Improving data quality at source and helping teams understand the downstream impact of their decisions.
• Supporting Master Data Management and connecting business stakeholders with technical delivery teams.
• Driving adoption, addressing resistance and tracking progress in data maturity.

We're looking for someone with experience across data governance, data management, data quality or MDM, alongside strong communication and influencing skills. Experience embedding stewardship models and supporting business or digital transformation would be particularly relevant.

You should also be comfortable working with technical specialists on enterprise systems, integrations and data flows, making complex concepts accessible to business audiences.

The position is remote, with travel to London 1-2 times per month.
