Job summary

Whistl Logistics is seeking a Labour Planning Analyst to forecast labour demand and create staffing plans for our fast-paced warehouse operation in Wellingborough, leveraging workforce planning tools and performance metrics.

You will work closely with operational leaders to monitor KPIs, adjust plans in real time, manage agency hours during peak activity, and produce reports that drive productivity, cost control and service performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in labour planning and workforce optimisation.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Experience within a fast-paced logistics or distribution environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse KPIs and operational workflows.
• Understanding of UK labour legislation and safety standards.
• Proficient in Excel and workforce planning tools (Kronos, Reflexis or similar).
• Experience managing agency labour.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Forecast labour requirements using historical and live data.
• Create daily, weekly and monthly labour plans.
• Suggest shift patterns and resource levels to meet SLAs.
• Coordinate with warehouse management to adjust plans in real time.
• Monitor productivity and efficiency via WMS and labour systems.
• Track labour spend and highlight risks against budget.
• Produce performance reports on labour utilisation and productivity.
• Identify trends and suggest process improvements.
