Job summary

Pertemps Thames Water is looking for a Leakage Optimisation Engineer based near Kidlington. You will drive the leakage strategy for a defined zonal area, manage detection activities, and apply innovative methods like satellite and fibre optic tech to cut leakage.

Ideal candidates have water-industry experience, strong analytical skills, and a technical background with H&S knowledge, plus a full UK driving licence. Hybrid pattern with 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in water or a similar industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Technical background with H&S knowledge.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the geographic leakage strategy for the zonal area.
• Manage leakage detection activities in the zone.
• Utilise satellite and fibre optic technologies to reduce leakage.
• Monitor zonal meter and targeting availability.
• Investigate viability of pressure management schemes and zonal reconfiguration.
• Support Network Optimisation Engineer in risk assessment process.
• Provide and report performance data and review zonal calculations.
• Collaborate with Network Optimisation and Leakage Planning teams.
• Liaise with third parties to ensure smooth network operation.
