Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard is seeking an Associate (3+ PQE) to join our growing Data & Digital team in Aberdeen. You’ll work closely with Ross McKenzie, Helena Brown and colleagues across our UK offices to advise leading clients across retail, technology, healthcare, sports and financial services.

You will play a central role in handling complex data protection, privacy and commercial matters, DSARs and data subject rights programmes for major organisations, and you’ll contribute to GDPR compliance

Qualifications

• 3+ years' PQE in data protection, privacy and information law.
• Strong experience handling DSARs and wider data subject rights matters.
• Commercial awareness and a practical, solution-focused approach.
• Experience advising on UK GDPR, EU GDPR and related regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead on complex data protection, privacy and commercial matters.
• Play a key role in managing DSARs and data subject rights programmes for major organisations.
• Work on GDPR compliance, international data transfers, cyber regulation, AI governance and privacy operations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across commercial, disputes, employment and legal tech teams.
• Build trusted client relationships and help shape the future of our data offering.
