Data & Development lead, Hybrd role- 3 days in office located in Cambridgeshire, £95,000 per annum,

About the Role

We're looking for a deeply technical, hands-on leader to join our team as a Senior Technical Lead - Data & Systems. This is a key role within our organisation, combining technical excellence with strong people and strategic leadership.

You'll bring significant experience in data engineering and system development, particularly using Databricks, Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, M365, and integration's. You'll lead by example, remaining hands-on with technology while developing and mentoring a small, agile team.

We're based in Bicester, but for an outstanding candidate, we're open to a more flexible location arrangement.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technical team in a collaborative, agile environment.
• Own and deliver strategic initiatives across data engineering and system development.
• Remain hands-on with solution design and implementation, providing expert-level guidance.
• Drive integration and automation initiatives, enhancing our digital ecosystem.
• Engage with stakeholders across the business to understand needs and deliver impactful solutions.
• Ensure best practices in system design, architecture, and performance.

What We're Looking For

• Deep technical expertise in: Databricks, Azure, Power Platform, M365
• System integration's and automation
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring technical teams, ideally in a small, agile environment.
• A leader who is equally comfortable at the strategic and hands-on technical levels.
• Experience with SaaS platforms such as Workday and (url removed) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of data integration, system design, and digital transformation.
• Excellent communication skills
