Galliford Try Group is seeking a Data & Development Engineer to join the Group Services IT team in Solihull. You will work across the data lifecycle, connecting to data sources, building ETL pipelines, modelling data, and developing dashboards to enable self-serve analytics.

The role emphasizes best practices, collaboration, and leveraging the Microsoft data stack including Azure and Power BI for advanced analytics and AI applications.

Qualifications

• Experience in building data pipelines across sources and targets.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and database architecture.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Familiarity with Microsoft stack and cloud data services.

Responsibilities

• Data Connection: establish data feeds and pipelines to Galliford Try’s data platform.
• Storage and Management: design schemas and ensure data quality and security.
• Transformation: develop ETL pipelines to model data for analytics.
• Reporting: create interactive dashboards for self-serve analytics.
• Analytics and AI: apply models and analytics to derive insights.
• Standards and Best Practice: promote central team standards across teams.
