Data Delivery Manager

Overview: We seek a Data Delivery Manager to lead and coordinate data-driven projects within Howden’s Group Data Team. This role requires technical understanding, stakeholder management, and project leadership, managing multiple projects aligned with business goals while fostering team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Delivery Leadership: Oversee end-to-end delivery of data projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines. Facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders. Use data metrics to monitor and improve team performance.
2. Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with stakeholders, customizing communication as needed. Articulate the value of deliverables and align them with organizational goals. Promote collaboration across teams.
3. Prioritisation and Adaptability: Prioritize and adjust project tasks based on business needs. Evaluate scope changes and communicate updates proactively. Focus on high-value outcomes and resource allocation.
4. Project Management: Manage risks, dependencies, and resources to ensure smooth delivery. Adapt delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) to project needs.
5. Project Planning and Costing: Develop detailed delivery plans with timelines, milestones, and resources. Collaborate on budgets and expenses.
6. Team Empowerment: Foster team collaboration, autonomy, and proactive problem-solving. Support a culture of continuous improvement and transparency.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years in delivery management or related roles in tech or data environments.
• Proven project management from initiation to completion.
• Familiarity with performance metrics.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum; Scaled Agile is a plus.
• Experience with data, analytics, or data science projects is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry is a bonus.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
