Base pay range:

A$180,000.00 / yr - A$220,000.00 / yr

Job Title: Data Compliance Architect

Location: Melbourne or Sydney, Australia

Contract Duration: 12 months (Part-time may be considered)

Overview:

We are seeking a Data Architecture Specialist for a 12-month contract. This role will focus on developing a Data Architecture Plan, aligning teams, and ensuring compliance with data management standards. You will work closely with senior leaders to influence and drive the adoption of data architecture guidelines across the financial organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align teams and stakeholders on data architecture strategies, collaborating with senior leaders.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive Data Architecture Plan, ensuring it aligns with regulatory and organisational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with data regulations (e.g., APRA CPS 234 / 235, GDPR).
  • Address challenges such as data silos, integration, scalability, and data quality.
  • Manage data lineage using tools such as Collibra.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in data architecture, particularly in regulated environments such as banking.
  • Knowledge of data compliance regulations (e.g., APRA CPS 234 / 235, GDPR).
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and senior leaders.
  • Experience solving complex data integration, scalability, and governance challenges.
  • Familiarity with data lineage tools, particularly Collibra.
  • Experience in banking or financial services.
  • Background in compliance and data governance.
