Role Summary
- Ensure routine maintenance of all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and service level agreements.
- Respond to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Manage controls within Permit to Work systems appropriately.
- Create and utilize switching schedules, SOPs, and EOPs in line with company policies and SSOW.
- Maintain Evaporative Cooling Systems and domestic water systems to comply with L8 standards.
- Keep comprehensive maintenance records using REALM task sheets.
- Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all in-house tasks to ensure safety.
- Supervise engineering subcontractors to ensure contractual and site compliance.
- Develop positive relationships with CBRE staff and clients’ staff.
- Provide a safe and healthy working environment, complying with all policies and procedures.
- Present a professional image of CBRE, delivering excellent customer service.
- Maintain professional and technical skills through continuous development.
- Ensure work packs include all required documentation, including subcontractor RAMS review.
- Keep training and personal development up to date.
- Foster a strong team culture.
- LVAP responsibilities are applicable to this role.
Experience / Skillset Required
- Manual Handling Training (advantageous).
- LV Authorised Person status or working towards it.
- Current Wiring Regulations certificate.
- Level 3 NVQ in related discipline.
- Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification.
- Experience in incident/fault management in a business-critical environment.
- Experience in a similar role within a similar organization.
- Understanding of health and safety obligations related to maintenance.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Numerate and literate.
- Commitment to safe working practices.
- Self-motivated with high integrity.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Organized, with good prioritization skills.
- Courteous and presentable, with exposure to clients at all levels.
- Ability to ascend and descend vertical access equipment.
- Flexibility regarding working hours.
- PASMA & IPAF preferred.
- Knowledge of multiple interlinked systems (Fire, PMS, BMS).
