Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the Building Services industry.
  • Confined Space entry training (if required).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate electrical systems according to industry guidelines.
  • Carry out scheduled PPMs and ensure high-quality, timely completion.
  • Perform day-to-day maintenance and address reactive issues related to electrical assets.
  • Update and maintain computer-based systems, particularly PPM records.
  • Identify, rectify faults, and escalate HVAC system issues when necessary.
  • Install and modify electrical services on-site.
  • Communicate effectively with the Shift Supervisor regarding plant status.
  • Ensure parts are accurately documented and report difficulties encountered.
  • Maintain cleanliness in plant areas, workshops, and rest areas.
  • Operate and troubleshoot building electrical installations.

Job description

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the operation and maintenance of site electrical systems in accordance with industry standards and codes of practice. The role involves performing preventive and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and system modifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and operate electrical systems according to industry guidelines.
  2. Carry out scheduled PPMs and ensure high-quality, timely completion.
  3. Perform day-to-day maintenance and address reactive issues related to electrical assets.
  4. Update and maintain computer-based systems, particularly PPM records.
  5. Identify, rectify faults, and escalate issues concerning HVAC systems when necessary.
  6. Install and modify electrical services on-site.
  7. Communicate effectively with the Shift Supervisor regarding plant status, issues, and housekeeping standards.
  8. Ensure parts are accurately documented and report any difficulties encountered during engineering activities.
  9. Maintain high standards of cleanliness in plant areas, workshops, and rest areas.
  10. Operate and troubleshoot building electrical installations, emergency lighting, BMS, fire systems, HVAC, generators, motors, UPS, and HV systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in the Building Services industry.
  • C&G qualified or equivalent in electrical services/maintenance.
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring & Installation certification.
  • HV Approved Person certification.
  • Confined Space entry training (if required).
  • Recognized training or apprenticeship in electrical maintenance.

  • Willingness to attend training and possibly stay overnight for system installation or maintenance.
