Data Centre Operations Specialist (SC Cleared) - 6 Month Contract

My client is hiring a Data Centre Operations Specialist to support a critical transformation programme. This role will focus on auditing and enhancing operational processes, improving system oversight, and ensuring a smooth transition from third-party to in-house data centre operations under NESO management.

Key Details:

Location: Wokingham (5 days per week on-site)
Rate: £300 - £350 per day
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Contract Length: 6 months
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the NESO Manager in locating and auditing existing in-house and third-party processes.
• Review current software tools and CMDB capabilities, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
• Capture access control and physical security requirements.
• Develop detailed plans to migrate processes, procedures, and supplier mechanisms from third-party providers to NESO.
• Manage operational dependencies and risks effectively.
• Engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
• Manage e-Permits and associated approval processes.
• Oversee CMDB updates and ensure effective network discovery capabilities.

• Delivery of safety briefings and site inductions
• Ensure that all personnel in Data Centres are either inducted or escorted by an approved, inducted individual.
