Job Overview:

The Data Centre Operations H&S Manager will collaborate with the Risk & Compliance department to develop and implement strategic Health and Safety systems within a mission-critical environment. This role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, statutory, and regulatory requirements, maintaining ISO accreditations, and working closely with staff and stakeholders to ensure a safe workplace.

Key tasks include:

  1. Ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and ISO requirements; preparing change management plans and documentation.
  2. Implementing and advising on strategic Health & Safety Management systems.
  3. Promoting a positive health and safety culture across operations and the wider company.
  4. Preparing documentation for senior management and audit committees.
  5. Conducting health and safety audits, making recommendations, and developing improvement strategies.
  6. Reporting audit findings, maintaining accident statistics, and analyzing trends.
  7. Performing site inspections and engaging stakeholders to ensure safety compliance.
  8. Investigating incidents, producing reports, and following up on corrective actions.
  9. Identifying training needs and organizing safety training sessions.
  10. Managing the health and safety budget effectively.

Qualifications and experience:

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate.
  • Knowledge of current health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Experience in implementing innovative solutions and data analysis.
  • Experience with ISO accreditation processes.
