Job summary

Vorboss is seeking an Infrastructure Field Technician to maintain the physical network layer across London data centres and customer sites. The role is hands-on and on-site, with time split between PoPs and client premises, including occasional on-call duties.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in field/infrastructure roles, experience in data centres, copper termination skills, and familiarity with wireless installations. A UK driving licence is essential for travel across sites.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in a hands-on field, infrastructure or datacentre role.
• Experience in data centres (e.g., Telehouse, Equinix).
• Proven copper termination and testing, including patch panels and keystones.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and decommission racks and containment at PoPs and customer sites.
• Run and test copper/fibre cabling; compile test results for handover.
• Install wireless APs per design and perform validation surveys.
• Fault-find at the physical layer using OTDRs and test tools.
• Provide remote hands during troubleshooting and support planned works.
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage stock and site access.
• Participate in on-call rota for outages.
