Vorboss is looking for an Infrastructure Field Technician to look after the physical layer of our own network and the networks we manage for customers across London. This is an on-site role, spending time at points of presence and on customer premises while representing Vorboss professionally.
You will install racks, cabling and wireless access points, troubleshoot faults on copper and fibre, and keep our documentation up to date.
Vorboss is building London’s next-generation business fibre network. This is a responsibility that we take serious; we understand that for most businesses, reliable fibre internet is as important as heat, electricity, and water. We’re looking for an Infrastructure Field Technician to look after the physical layer of our own network and the networks we manage for our customers. The role covers our datacentre points of presence, structured cabling and containment in customer buildings, and the wireless installations we deliver across the sites we support.
This is a hands on, on site role. You will spend most of your week at our points of presence and on customer premises across London, with the rest of your time in our office. The work varies from one day to the next: racking and cabling equipment in a data hall, installing access points and running copper on a customer fit out, then out to fault find a link that has gone down. You will often be the only Vorboss person on site, so you need to be comfortable working on your own and representing us well in front of customers.
