Job Purpose:

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Data Centre Facilities Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have day-to-day management of a location or group of locations, including task and people management, budget control, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.

Key Tasks:

  • Managing local client and CBRE budgets and reporting any out-of-line situations
  • Controlling and managing service charge accounts where appropriate, providing monthly report data to the Account Manager
  • Ensuring client satisfaction by being responsible for achieving client SLR and driving acceptable service delivery performance
  • Maintaining strong lines of communication with the user population on all BAU activity
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative, client, and CBRE health, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Sharing best practices
  • Working with local/central/third party project manager(s) to ensure fully integrated FM/projects delivery
  • Maintaining a motivated team through management and personal development of all local staff
  • Organising monthly team meetings
  • Performance management
  • Providing strong upward and downward communications within the team
  • Overall operational management within the designated site area, including reception, post room, cleaning, security, and specialist subcontractors
  • Driving and delivering first-class service excellence with innovative and compelling ideas
  • Developing and implementing a customer service strategy for the location
  • Developing partnering relationships with key clients in the location
  • Managing and motivating the team in line with IIP accreditation and guidelines
  • Delivering the "One Team" methodology within the location
  • Establishing in-depth knowledge of client culture with a particular focus on real estate and site organisation
  • Maintaining close liaison with the central support team to promote a consistent professional image of the CBRE brand
  • Promoting and sponsoring a culture of continuous improvement and best practices
  • Supporting the completion of the client monthly report
  • Managing resources, both human and technical, to maximise the quality of services delivered

Person Specification

Education

  • Member of BIFM or another FM professional body
  • Ideally educated to degree level

Skills

  • People management skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
  • PC literate - Word, Excel, and ideally with Lotus Notes experience

Knowledge

  • Commercial and financial awareness
  • Technical background with an understanding of HVAC systems within buildings
