DataVita is offering a full-time on-site apprenticeship in Scotland for a Data Centre Engineer. You will work 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday, learning to maintain critical power, cooling, and M&E infrastructure while participating in data cabling, testing, and fault-finding with experienced engineers.
Training is via City of Glasgow College, with years of progression from Foundation SVQ to HNC in Engineering, and you will join the on-call rota once fully qualified.

Alongside your studies, you'll get hands-on, practical experience with data cabling, testing, and fault-finding, as well as customer onboarding and project work. You’ll be building the real skills you need to grow into a fully qualified engineer. This is a full-time apprenticeship, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the expectation to join the on-call rota once you're fully qualified.
The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential. You will have strong time management skills and able to prioritise your workload effectively. This role requires continuous professional development, so the successful candidate will be keen to develop their knowledge and skills through on the job training, formal learning, and ongoing self-development.
