Job summary

Fuse Energy is seeking a Data Centre Design Engineer to craft the mechanical and electrical backbone for next-gen AI data centres. You will own designs from Basis of Design to commissioning, building modular references suitable for rapid deployment across UK and international markets.

Our team values hands-on builders who can deliver on-site energy projects. The role requires experience in data centre design, familiarity with relevant systems, and a degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical or electrical design in data centre or critical facilities environments.
• Experience across data centre design and construction stages, with an understanding of resilience and Tier levels.
• Proven ability to produce detailed design, including calculations, schematics and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed design of data centre projects (mechanical or electrical) including layouts, schematics, calculations and drawings.
• Develop the Basis of Design and set design standards for UK and international markets.
• Propose innovative solutions for high-density GPU infrastructure to shorten time to compute.
• Build reference and modular designs and engineering guides for rapid deployment.
• Manage design changes and track decisions through resolution.
• Support site works, commissioning and handover as needed.
