Job summary

Kingspan Light, Air & Water is seeking a Data Centre Product Design Engineer to join our growing team. You will help design and optimise data centre products that deliver performance, reliability, sustainability and value.

Working with customers and internal teams, you will develop specifications, support technical evaluations, maintain design standards, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating across functions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in product design and engineering development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Willing to travel as required.
• Experience with project management and reporting tools (Excel, MS Project, Power BI).

Working alongside key customers and internal teams, you will help design and optimise industry-leading products that deliver exceptional performance, reliability, sustainability, and value.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing and improving data centre product designs and technical specifications.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Product Design, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• Experience in product design, engineering development, or design engineering.
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Dynamic individual who operates well under pressure and with tight deadlines
• Experience in detailed project management and coordination
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with confidence.
• Clear communicator who enjoys working with diverse teams and external partners.
• Be willing to travel as and when required
• Comfortable using project management and reporting tools (Excel, MS Project, Power BI, or similar)
• Interest in data center infrastructure (power, cooling, networking)

Desirable Experience

• Data centres or mission-critical facilities.
• HVAC, cooling, ventilation, or building services.
• Manufacturing or industrial product development.
• +3 years of CAD design experience (Revit/SolidWorks/Auto CAD)#
• German, French or Nordic language skills
