Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Consulting Engineer in the United Kingdom to design and implement Data Centre and networking solutions for large environments. You will build trust-based customer relationships and apply deep technical expertise to accelerate business outcomes.

Key responsibilities include contributing to Cisco Data Centre designs, integrating automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform), and providing guidance across Nexus platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 7+ years in customer-facing technical consulting or service delivery.
• Deep knowledge of L2/L3 networking (vPC, STP, HSRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) with Nexus 2K/5K/7K/9K experience.
• Experience in Data Centre design and deployment including VXLAN Fabric and ACI Fabric architectures.
• Experience integrating network services appliances (firewalls, IPS, load balancers) into DC designs.
• Professional level certifications such as CCNP/Cisco DevNet or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build trust-based customer relationships and apply technical expertise to design and implement Data Centre and networking solutions.
• Contribute to design and implementation of Cisco Data Centre technologies for large, complex environments.
• Integrate emerging AI and automation into delivery practices to automate deployment processes.
• Analyze network performance and provide optimization options for efficiency and capability.
• Provide feedback to Engineering and Product teams to influence roadmaps.
