Job Description

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Your role is to help deliver high standards for safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers.

This position serves as the on-site maintenance technician and operator for the data centre.

The Data Centre Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) is responsible for operating and maintaining electrical, mechanical, emergency generator, and fire/life safety equipment within the data centre. The EOT supports mission-critical servers and acts as a technical resource within its data centres.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs
• Perform maintenance tasks such as filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, PDU, and ATS replacements
• Support Data Centre Operations technicians
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures
• Adhere to all safety procedures during work
• Take daily operational readings of equipment (temperatures, voltages, currents)
• Use internal CMMS for workflow and inventory management
• Supervise contractors for servicing and maintenance
• Respond to emergency calls during on-call rotations
• Follow all physical security procedures and policies
