Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Data Center Engineer to join our high-profile client in the United Kingdom. This hands-on role involves designing, building, scaling and managing data centres and colocation facilities, working with network, server, facilities engineering and trading teams.

You will handle procurement, install Linux-based OS in PXE, configure network gear, and ensure security and documentation standards across the data centre.

Formación

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and vendor management.
• Experience in project management and coordinating with multiple teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for data centre operations.
• Experience with server hardware and cabling in a data centre environment.
• Willingness to travel 2–4 weeks per year and occasional after-hours work.

Responsabilidades

• Managing procurement, shipping, and inventory of equipment, cabling, and parts
• Installing and configuring server OS in a PXE environment with Linux being required for network deployment
• Installing, cabling, configuring, and troubleshooting various network and server equipment
• Ensuring the highest standards of security, organisation, documentation, safety, and cleanliness in all data centre operations
