Job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced data center professional to develop and deliver advanced training programs in the data center and digital infrastructure domain.

As a Data Center Learning Architect, you will support the creation as a subject matter expert and deliver strategic learning experiences to address knowledge and skill gaps in data center technologies. You will collaborate with product teams, engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure training programs align with real-world needs and our product strategy. As the lead instructor, you will deliver these programs to experienced engineering audiences, confidently fielding advanced questions and discussions. This role is based in the EMEA region to accommodate global training across regions; fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese is a plus but not critical.

If you are passionate about making complex technical learning simple and engaging, this role combines hands-on data center experience with exceptional subject matter knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify Training Needs: Analyze organizational and customer needs to pinpoint knowledge gaps in data center and digital infrastructure expertise, and develop impactful training solutions to address those gaps.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Engage with cross-functional stakeholders (product owners, learning design, engineering teams, SMEs) to establish training requirements and define clear learning objectives for new and existing courses and learning pathways. Work with Learning Design teams to develop curricula and materials covering data center architecture, operations, and best practices.
  • Instruction & Delivery: Deliver high-quality instructor-led training sessions (virtual and in-person) and hands-on workshops. Incorporate labs and real-world scenarios to reinforce learning. Confidently address complex technical questions from experienced engineers during training sessions.
  • Subject Matter Collaboration: Review training content and deliverables with SMEs to ensure technical accuracy and incorporate industry best practices.
  • Industry Representation: Represent DCD Academy at industry events where you will demo solutions and/or moderate panels on data center and digital infrastructure topics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs in partnership with customer success, product and learning design teams using data-driven insights to refine curriculum and delivery methods.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Data Center Experience: Extensive experience in data center design and/or operations (e.g., implementing redundant power, cooling and network systems to prevent outages).
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of data center infrastructure components and best practices, including power, cooling, backup power/generators, networking, and server hardware. Experience with HPC and mission-critical environments is preferred.
  • Communication & Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and engage varied audiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills capable of troubleshooting complex technical issues and addressing questions in real time.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Ability to work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and other teams to drive training goals.
  • Education & Certification: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (required). Industry recognition is a plus.
  • Location: EMEA-based candidates strongly preferred (must be located in or willing to work within Europe and North America time zones to accommodate global training schedules).
  • Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus for broader regional engagement.
Company Benefits
  • Hybrid working scheme (mix of office and remote work with travel to the Central London Office).
  • Delivery of learning programmes from home/office or in the client’s chosen environment.
  • 25 days holiday entitlement, long service leave, and 1 gifted celebration day off per year.
  • Paid sick leave, life assurance, and income protection.
  • Health cash-back plan, health and wellbeing services, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Enhanced employer pension contribution and parental leave.
  • Regular socials and celebrations.
  • Opportunity for worldwide travel.
