Amazon Web Services Korea is seeking a detail-oriented, energetic individual to join our Data Center Engineering Operations Team. This team maintains the physical infrastructure supporting Amazon Web Services, ensuring 100% availability of data center MEP systems while delivering excellent customer service.

The Data Center Engineering Operations team manages electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within data centers and colocation facilities. Responsibilities include risk management, preventive and corrective maintenance, vendor management, and metric reporting.

Key job responsibilities

1. Performance benchmarking, analysis, and reporting on critical facility operations and maintenance
2. On-site management of technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to procedures
3. Managing relationships with third-party colocation providers and staff
4. Operations and management of critical systems: switchgear, generators, UPS, power distribution, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, BMS, etc.
5. Capacity planning and reporting for data centers
6. Assisting in designing and constructing new facilities
7. Participating in projects to improve facility efficiency
8. Collaborating with IT and business leaders for project coordination and optimization
9. Providing quality service to meet customer demands
10. Procurement and asset/inventory management

About the team: AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure, supporting all data centers and hardware to ensure reliable cloud services. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• At least four years of experience in data center or mission-critical systems engineering, operations, or support
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
• Business-level English and fluent Korean language skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Deep understanding of electrical systems (e.g., transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, batteries, fuel systems)
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g., CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, cooling towers, piping, pumps)
• Awareness of security and safety protocols
• Experience in data center project management
• Relevant certifications (e.g., P.E, PMP, LEED, CDCP, CDCS, etc.)
