Data Cabling Design Manager

London

Up to £80,000 + Benefits

A fantastic opportunity for a Data Cabling Design Manager to join a leading independent technology consultancy working on major commercial infrastructure projects across London. Offering a salary of up to £80,000, this hybrid role gives you the chance to lead structured cabling and passive IT infrastructure design across a wide range of high-spec building fit-outs and refurbishments. The company works at the forefront of smart building solutions, collaborating closely with architects, M&E consultants and contractors throughout all RIBA stages.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the design of structured cabling systems, comms rooms, and IT risers across commercial properties
• Define technical infrastructure needs, including containment, routing, spatial and security requirements
• Produce detailed design documentation, including patching schedules, labelling standards and test methodologies
• Attend client and contractor meetings to ensure alignment across all design stages
• Oversee site inspections and provide technical input during project delivery

What Experience is Required

• Proven experience in passive infrastructure or structured cabling design within commercial projects
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills across design and construction teams
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or Bluebeam would be advantageous
• Qualifications in CNIDP or CDCDP would be advantageous

Salary & Benefits

• Basic salary of up to £80,000 depending on experience
• Hybrid working with flexibility to work from home and visit London sites as needed

Location

The role is hybrid with team meetings and client visits in London.
