Data Business Analyst - London Market Insurance | Contract | £550 / day outside IR35 | London (2 days a week on-site)

This long-standing, high-growth specialty insurance company operating in the Lloyd's Market is seeking a Data Business Analyst specializing in Data Platforms to join a well-known data team dedicated to transforming data usage within the organization.

The Role

As a Data Business Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

• Business scoping, requirements gathering, and writing technical specifications for data platform development based on business needs.
• Supporting the build of a new Databricks data platform, defining low-level architectural design, and ensuring engineering teams can deliver accordingly.
• Data mapping from source to target.
• Defining business logic.
• Delivering a new data platform aligned with medallion architecture.

This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in the early stages of a data platform build. Given the organization’s relatively low maturity in data and analytics, you will encounter and overcome various challenges. Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills are essential, alongside technical expertise in data architecture, modeling, and documentation.
