Job Description:

Data Associate – Operations | Private Markets | £75,000

We’re hiring a Data Associate to help redefine how a leading private markets investment team captures, structures, and activates information across fund operations.

This is more than an ops role — it’s a chance to shape the future of data-driven insight at a fast-moving, high-performance investment firm.

Your Mission:

You’ll use your analytical firepower and Excel modelling expertise to:

  • Build and improve valuation and forecasting models from scratch
  • Develop advanced portfolio analytics tools and dashboards
  • Work hands-on with large volumes of data across investments, treasury, and fund operations
  • Enhance the team’s ability to transition from Excel to structured software solutions and AI tooling

You might be early in your journey, but you see where the world is going: faster insights, better governance, and smarter tech to empower investment decision-making.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A strong mathematical or scientific academic background
  • Advanced Excel skills (think Power Query, complex modelling, not just formatting)
  • Curiosity about AI and data engineering, in order to work with the Tech team on solutions.
  • Experience or insight into how private funds operate — treasury, fund accounting, or operations
  • A mindset that blends detail with ambition: you can spot errors and suggest the upgrade path

You’ll work across functions — with investment teams, finance, and technology — becoming the connective tissue between data, decisions, and delivery.
