The successful candidate will lead the technical development, implementation, and evaluation of the AI system, coordinating with SAMH, GCU, and a Psychology Associate. They will ensure the system meets operational, ethical, and governance standards, overseeing data management, model performance, and deployment.
The role is based at SAMH, working with mental health professionals, service users, and AI experts to develop a user-friendly AI solution aimed at transforming mental health access in Scotland. Academic support and supervision from GCU will be provided, along with opportunities for professional development and training.
Applicants should have a postgraduate qualification in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Computer Science, with strong Python programming skills, experience with ML frameworks, and knowledge of data science techniques.
