Job Description
Our consultancy client is seeking an experienced Payments Data Architect to focus on delivering ISO 20022 and managing multiple ongoing workstreams for a major high street bank. You should have prior experience in payments and data, with a deep understanding of ISO 20022. This role is more aligned with a lead solution architect with data expertise rather than a pure data architect.
You will support and lead strategic initiatives around designing reference architecture for a data marketplace model and payment data products within a single reusable data enterprise model. The reference architecture is still in development, and the blueprint needs to be established with key components.
Strong data skills are essential, including designing architecture and solutions for payments data, utilizing technologies such as Kafka, ETL, modern database technologies, and understanding their operational aspects. Experience with distributed systems, data transfer between systems, data persistence in various stores, and making data accessible via APIs is required. Additionally, the ability to consider AI integration options is desirable.
The role may require occasional travel to client sites and is classified as inside IR35.
