Rate: £750 a day inside IR35
Location: Hybrid (London)
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect & Modeller to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide data models, with a strong focus on Master Data Management (MDM). This role is critical to establishing consistent, scalable, and business-aligned data structures that support analytics, reporting, and operational efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in insurance data domains, enterprise data modelling, and working with diverse business and IT stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models across the enterprise.
- Lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise MDM solutions, including master and reference data integration.
- Collaborate with business SMEs, data stewards, and technical teams to define golden record rules, survivorship logic, and stewardship workflows.
- Ensure data models support data governance, data quality, and lineage frameworks.
- Provide guidance on cloud-based data architecture and collaborate with data engineers to implement scalable solutions.
- Present complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support Agile delivery teams with modelling expertise and participate in iterative development cycles.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in data modelling and architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Proven track record of enterprise MDM solution design and implementation.
- Hands-on experience with data governance and lineage tools (Collibra preferred).
- Knowledge of insurance data domains, with exposure to ACORD standards preferred.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.) and cloud architecture principles.
- Strong understanding of data management, master data management, data quality, and governance frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
