Data Architect – Remote

£65,000 - £72,000 + bonus, 35-hour work week, and great benefits

This market-leading and growing business has created a new Data Architect position, suitable for a technical expert capable of leading data architecture initiatives, advising on investments, and implementing new technologies. The ideal candidate will be ambitious and eager to expand and develop a robust architecture capability.

As a Data Architect, you will ensure that the company’s internal data architecture aligns with current and future business needs. Your role involves transforming data into valuable insights, supporting decision-making, and gaining a competitive advantage. You will also ensure best practices and adherence to architectural principles, maintaining detailed documentation of data architecture and assets.

The role is primarily remote, with an expectation of one day per month in central Leeds, which can be expensed for candidates living more than 30 miles away.

Experience required:

• Technical expertise with strategic data decision-making abilities
• Several years of experience in data architecture and engineering
• Experience with Azure-based data platforms and tools such as Synapse, Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of master data management, data quality frameworks, and data governance best practices
• Familiarity with technologies like Python, PySpark, SQL, Xpath, XML, and Azure Data Science tools
• Experience with BI tools, Data Visualization, and Agile methodologies
