Job Description:
The Food & Nutrition Data Architect will be a key driver in transforming the Food & Nutrition (F&N) business segment. Working closely with partners, you will be responsible for data solution design, including Analytics, Visualisation, Dashboards, and Operations.
You will bring thought leadership in your domain and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative data solutions that enhance customer experience, drive revenue, and maintain a competitive edge in the digital marketplace.
Moving to One Enterprise Data Platform for Food is a strategic Mars Food & Nutrition goal. We aim to harness data and insights to solve critical business problems and simplify the global data and analytics user experience, unlocking growth and operational excellence.
What are we looking for?
- Hands-on experience designing scalable data platforms in the cloud using Azure D&A stack, Databricks, and Azure Open AI.
- Proficiency in coding (Python, PL/SQL, Shell Script), relational and non-relational databases, ETL tools like Informatica, and scalable data platforms.
- Experience with Azure Data and Analytics stack; familiarity with AWS and GCP data solutions.
- Knowledge of deploying AI solutions in Azure, GCP, and AWS.
- 2 to 4 years' experience in applied data science or similar roles, preferably in CPG or Retail sectors.
- Experience with SAP MDG/S4 HANA is a plus.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working with senior management.
- Understanding of business drivers and processes, with the ability to relate technology to segment priorities.
- Learning agility and a desire to adopt new technologies.
- Proven ability to influence and deliver results in a matrixed organization.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture, strategies, and pipelines aligned with business goals.
- Define operating models for data and analytics products, including roadmaps.
- Partner with stakeholders to improve user experience and design for complex data and analytics.
- Ensure data products have clear KPIs and value propositions.
- Execute the data strategy roadmap, collaborating with various teams to enhance data lakes and real-time reporting.
- Lead data improvement projects across divisions and markets.
- Evaluate and deploy emerging data tools and platforms across Demand, Supply, R&D, and Commercial areas.
- Develop communication and training plans on analytics and data engineering standards.
- Collaborate with ML engineers and architects on technical architectures for enterprise projects.
- Stay informed about advances in machine learning, data science, and AI.
