Whitehall Resources currently require an experienced Data Architect to work with a key client.

Please note this role is Inside IR35 and requires 3 Days onsite weekly in London.

Description:

As a Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building leading-edge data solutions and models. Working closely with colleagues such as Product Owners and the Engineering community, you will ensure the delivery of optimal data solutions that align with business requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Data architecture and Modelling, who thrives in working with vast and complex data sets. You will be part of a dynamic and innovative team, working on cutting-edge technologies to deliver impactful data products for our retail chain. With a passion for creating order within reporting structures, you possess expertise in data warehousing, analytic end-to-end architecture, and various modelling methodologies such as 3NF, Dimensional, and Data Vault.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Triaging new requirements, assessing their impact, and providing estimates for modifying data models accordingly.
  2. Developing and enhancing business physical data models to meet evolving needs while driving alignment as necessary.
  3. Acting as the custodian of data models, defining and owning modelling within delivery teams, ensuring adherence to standards and principles.
  4. Creating solutions that fulfil business needs and align with the end state architecture, while simultaneously documenting, communicating, and centrally managing data models in an appropriate manner.
  5. Collaborating with the broader architecture community to share expertise and promote alignment and innovation.
  6. Bringing a passion for creating order within reporting structures, along with a comprehensive understanding of Data Warehousing/Analytic end-to-end architecture.
  7. Staying up to date with industry advancements, including machine learning and modern algorithmic techniques at scale, to drive data design best practices.
  8. Exhibiting strong communication and influencing skills to advocate for and implement best practices at the Engineering and Product Manager levels.
  9. Having a curious and driven mindset to comprehend business processes and leverage opportunities to structure and utilise data for driving business value.
Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
  1. Skilled and experienced professional who thrives in working with vast and complex data sets.
  2. Expertise in data warehousing, analytic end-to-end architecture, and various modelling methodologies such as 3NF, Dimensional, and Data Vault.
  3. Knowledge of the latest industry developments, including machine learning and modern algorithmic techniques at scale.
  4. Strong communication and influencing skills, combined with curiosity and drive to understand business processes.
  5. Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, presenting technical concepts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders, engineers, and analysts.
  7. Ability to think critically and solve complex problems, translating business requirements into actionable insights.
  8. Experience with cloud technologies/migrations would be hugely beneficial.
