Job summary

Agntx is seeking a Data Architect in Leeds to design data for a UK government benefits modernisation programme. The role involves owning data requirements, documenting structures and processes, and ensuring data flows meet statutory reporting needs.

You will bridge data stakeholders with delivery teams and present architectures to governance forums. This is a hybrid Leeds-based contract, Inside IR35, with 2 days on site.

Qualifications

• Data architecture design and modelling techniques, patterns, tools and standards.
• Data modelling, Master Data Management, metadata management and data governance.
• Event-based architecture design including publish-subscribe and data streaming.
• Public cloud with cloud hosting, container and networking design patterns - AWS, Azure or GCP.
• DevOps, continuous integration and continuous delivery.

Responsibilities

A UK central government benefits modernisation programme is hiring a data architect.

Two live benefits are moving off a legacy platform onto a modern multi-benefit service. Two solution architects are designing the platform. This role designs the data.

What you will do

• Own the data requirements and objectives for the modernisation across both benefits
• Identify and document the data structures, data processes and systems the programme needs
• Make sure data flows to the right places, and that statutory reporting requirements are met
• Act as the bridge between data stakeholders, the delivery teams and the central data function
• Present data architecture designs to technical governance forums
• Shape and support technology initiatives across the programme
