Data Architect - Customer

Hybrid (Hounslow/West London)

We’re currently supporting a leading organisation as they hire a highly experienced Data Architect to join their expanding data team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a data specialist to play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-scale data architecture within a highly complex and regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on the design and delivery of robust data architectures that align with business objectives
• Develop data governance policies to ensure data integrity, quality, security, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA)
• Build and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, physical) across multiple domains
• Oversee data integration pipelines, ETL processes, and enterprise data warehousing solutions
• Act as the SME on sensitive data handling, including consent management, retention, and encryption
• Enable self-service reporting capabilities across business units, empowering users to make data-driven decisions
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Cloud Architects, and other key technical stakeholders

Experience Required:

• Proven background designing and delivering enterprise-level data architecture
• Deep understanding of data governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
• Strong technical expertise in ETL, data integration, and warehousing (cloud & on-premise)
• Skilled in database platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, AWS, Azure or GCP
• Comfortable with sensitive data management (privacy, consent, encryption)
• Experience working with customer data platforms such as Salesforce or similar
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Exposure to big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
• Knowledge of integrating ML models and AI into data platforms
• Industry certifications (e.g. CDMP, AWS, Azure)
• Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
