Job summary

Ncounter Technology Recruitment is assisting a defence client with a Microsoft-based transformation in a secure operational environment. This hands-on role focuses on designing and implementing a proof of value using the existing Microsoft stack, introducing governance, improving project delivery processes and creating an end-to-end operating model.

AI will come later, the immediate priority is building robust foundations.

Qualifications

• DV clearance is essential and existing clearance is required.
• Experience delivering Microsoft-based transformation in secure environments.
• Hands-on design and implementation of initial solution with Power BI dashboards.
• Ability to configure Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Jira to support delivery governance.
• Experience in developing end-to-end operating models.

Job description

Existing DV clearance is essential. South West, Outside IR35. 3-days p/w onsite.

We're supporting a specialist defence customer delivering a Microsoft-based transformation programme within a secure operational environment. This is a hands‑on role focused on designing and implementing a proof of value using the existing Microsoft stack, introducing governance, improving project delivery processes and creating an end-to-end operating model. AI will come later, the immediate priority is building robust foundations.

The customer is open to a mix of Microsoft architects and engineers who enjoy delivering practical solutions rather than producing documentation alone.

This is an Outside IR35 contract with an initial six-month term and a strong likelihood of extension. You'll typically spend around three days per week onsite in the South West, with occasional travel to other secure customer locations across the UK.
