Job summary

Unifeye is seeking an experienced Data Architect to join the Architecture team in London. You will design and deliver modern data and AI solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, leading architecture for Lakehouse implementations and mentoring engineers across multiple enterprise engagements.

You will work with Databricks technologies, define technical roadmaps with customers and drive governance, security and production readiness from discovery through delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience delivering enterprise data platforms or analytics solutions.
• Strong Databricks solutions delivery experience across clients.
• Consulting or customer-facing delivery background.
• Solid understanding of Spark, Lakehouse architecture and Unity Catalog.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and deployment automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise data and AI solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
• Lead architecture for Lakehouse implementations with Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, MLflow and related tools.
• Define architecture strategies and roadmaps with customers.
• Translate requirements into scalable, secure, production-ready solutions.
• Lead workshops, reviews and discovery sessions; support pre-sales and PoCs.
• Mentor engineers and grow the consultancy's technical capability.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Data Architects to join our Architecture team and lead the design and delivery of modern data and AI solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.

You'll work across multiple enterprise engagements, partnering with customers to solve complex business challenges while collaborating with architects, engineers and AI specialists.

You'll provide technical leadership from discovery through to production, helping customers build scalable, secure and governed data platforms.

Alongside client delivery, you'll mentor colleagues, share knowledge and contribute to the continued growth of Unifeye.

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver enterprise data and AI solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
• Lead architecture for Lakehouse implementations using technologies such as Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, MLflow and Lakeflow.
• Define architecture strategies, migration approaches and technical roadmaps with customers.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure and production-ready solutions.
• Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews and discovery sessions.
• Support Proof of Concepts and pre-sales engagements.
• Establish best practices for governance, security, CI/CD, DataOps and MLOps.
• Collaborate closely with Databricks and internal delivery teams.
• Mentor engineers and help grow the consultancy's technical capability.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• 5+ years' experience delivering enterprise data platforms or analytics solutions.
• Strong commercial experience delivering Databricks solutions.
• Consulting or customer-facing delivery experience.
• Strong understanding of Apache Spark, modern Lakehouse architecture and Unity Catalog.
• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Experience implementing CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

• Databricks certification.
• Experience delivering AI or Generative AI solutions.
• Experience with MLflow, Terraform or Databricks Asset Bundles.
• Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience.
