Role Details:

Join Altrad’s dynamic data team and help shape the future of intelligent business solutions. As a Data & AI Graduate, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising data analytics, AI, and business intelligence tools within our Microsoft-based data ecosystem.

Working within a mature Microsoft application stack and Agile Scrum environment, you will collaborate across data engineering, advanced analytics, and AI-driven insight streams to turn raw data into meaningful, actionable intelligence.

This is a hands-on opportunity to build your expertise in technologies like SQL, Power BI, Python, and Microsoft Azure AI services. You will contribute to the development of data pipelines, machine learning models, and predictive analytics that drive decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of Altrad’s Data & AI Solution Architecture, data warehouse, and secure datasets using the Microsoft stack (Azure Synapse, SQL Server, Data Lake Storage).
  • Assist in ETL/ELT pipeline creation for ingesting and transforming multi-source data, using Azure Data Factory and related tools.
  • Participate in the lifecycle of AI/ML models — from data preparation and feature engineering through to testing, deployment, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI datasets with row-level security, calculated measures, and advanced DAX logic
  • Help integrate natural language processing (NLP), forecasting models, or anomaly detection into dashboards for proactive decision support.
  • Identify and resolve data quality, completeness, and latency issues, implementing automated validation scripts.
  • Support end users with self-service analytics and AI-assisted data exploration in Power BI and Azure.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications for both analytics and AI solutions.
  • Assist in documenting data lineage, metadata, and AI model governance to meet compliance and audit requirements.
  • Work alongside senior analysts and data scientists to deliver predictive and prescriptive analytics projects.
  • Maintain GDPR compliance and ensure responsible AI practices in all deployments.
  • Build process automation workflows using low-code/no-code platforms integrated with AI APIs.

Key Requirements:

Essential

  • Degree in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Keen interest in applying AI/ML to real-world business problems.
  • Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and data modelling.
  • Basic understanding of ML algorithms and workflows.
  • Exposure to Power BI, Python, and Azure AI tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Clear communicator, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Must be able to undergo full security clearance.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Cognitive Services, and Power Automate.
  • Experience with Python data science libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).
  • Knowledge of DAX for advanced Power BI measures.
  • Understanding of data governance, model monitoring, and MLOps principles.

Why Join Us?

  • Work on high-impact projects within a leading organisation at the forefront of the industry.
