Job description

As one of the world's largest networks of audit, tax and consulting firms, RSM delivers big ideas and premium service to help middle-market businesses thrive. We are a fast-growing firm with big ambitions - we have a clear goal to become the premium adviser to the middle market, globally. This vision touches everything we do, motivating and inspiring us to become better every day. If you are looking for a firm where you can build a future and make an impact, then RSM is the place for you.

Make an Impact at RSM UK

There has never been a more exciting time to join RSM UK's Consulting team. Our advisory experts work together across six core solutions: business transformation, forensic, deal services, restructuring, finance function support, and risk and governance. We provide data-driven insights, value-added assurance and high-quality execution to help clients build sustainable, future-fit businesses.

As Data Analytics Manager within our Forensic Technology team, you will establish and lead the team's data engineering and analytics capability. This greenfield role combines hands-on technical delivery, team leadership and direct client engagement, giving you the opportunity to help define how the function operates.

You will design and build data pipelines, analytical models and automated forensic testing using Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Python, PySpark and SQL. You will also work directly with clients, lawyers and regulators to understand their challenges, develop data-driven solutions and lead delivery through to completion.

You'll make an impact by
  • Establishing the data engineering and analytics function, including choosing technical patterns, setting coding, peer-review, documentation and data-governance standards, and helping to build the team
  • Designing production-grade data pipelines, analytical models and automated forensic testing using Microsoft Fabric and Databricks to support investigations, transaction analysis and red flag testing
  • Working directly with clients, lawyers and regulators to understand their requirements, deliver analytics solutions and present findings as part of live forensic engagements
  • Leading the use and integration of AI, while developing reusable forensic analytics tools and templates that support a scalable and consistent capability
  • Mentoring junior data engineers and analysts, leading recruitment as the team grows, supporting proposals and business development, collaborating across the wider Consulting practice
What we are looking for

You will bring a strong track record in data engineering or analytics, together with the technical depth and leadership capability required to operate at Manager level. You will be comfortable combining hands-on delivery with client engagement and team leadership, taking analytics solutions from initial scoping through to completion.

Here's what we're looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric or previous Azure Synapse components, alongside strong Spark, SQL and Python skills. Experience with Databricks would be an advantage
  • A solid understanding of data pipeline design, data modelling and data governance, with working experience of Power BI and version control tools such as Git, Azure DevOps or similar
  • Experience leading a technical team or workstream, including mentoring junior colleagues
  • The ability to understand client problems, propose appropriate data analytics solutions and lead their delivery from scoping through to completion
  • Experience in professional services, consulting or a regulated environment would be an advantage, particularly within forensic or financial crime specialisms. Experience with Alteryx is desirable but not essential
What we can offer you

We recognise that our people are our most important assets. That's why we offer a flexible reward and benefits package that will help you have fulfilling experience, both in and out of work.

  • 27 Days Holiday
  • Lifestyle, Health, and Wellbeing including financial wellbeing benefits such as financial tools, electric car scheme and access to a virtual GP
