Exeter, Devon | Hybrid Working Available

This is an exciting opportunity to join us at a pivotal time as we transform how we use data to improve environmental performance, regulatory compliance, and operational decision-making.

We're looking for a talented Data Analytics Manager to lead the development of data-driven insights across our wastewater operations.

With increasing volumes of monitoring data and evolving regulatory requirements, you'll play a critical role in ensuring data integrity, building analytical capability, and helping the business make informed decisions that improve environmental outcomes.

This is a highly visible role, working with senior stakeholders across the organisation and influencing strategic decision-making through robust analysis and clear communication.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop analytical models, dashboards, forecasting tools and performance reporting frameworks.

  • Translate complex data into meaningful insights and recommendations for operational and senior leadership teams.

  • Identify emerging risks, opportunities and trends to support proactive business decisions.

  • Champion best practice in data governance, management and compliance.

  • Collaborate closely with GIS, Asset Data, Operational and IT teams to improve data accessibility and usability.

  • Represent South West Water in discussions with regulators, industry bodies and external stakeholders.

What we're looking for:

  • Degree qualification in Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics or a related discipline.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working with complex datasets.

  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.

  • Experience developing reports, analytical tools, dashboards and performance metrics.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within the water, utilities, environmental or regulated sectors.

  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Why Join Us?

This is more than a data role. It's an opportunity to directly influence environmental performance, regulatory compliance, and the future operation of critical wastewater infrastructure across the South West.

  • Generous holiday allowance with the ability to buy and sell annual leave for added flexibility.

  • Competitive company pension scheme.

  • Training and development within the role.

  • Access to thousands of discounts and vouchers through Pennon Perks.

  • 24/7 support with our Employee Assistance Programme.

  • Discretionary bonus.

  • Cycle to work scheme.

  • And more!
