Job summary

easyJet holidays is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to join the Technology Team and help build analytics pipelines and visualisations that empower the wider business to access the data it needs. You will turn stakeholder goals into practical data products and mentor other analytics teams.

The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based at easyJet holidays HQ near Luton Airport, with a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and Python development including Git.
• Experience with visualization/analytics tools such as Thoughtspot, Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience setting up ETL/ELT tooling such as Dagster, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Airflow or dbt.
• Experience with AWS-based data tooling, ideally with some exposure to GCP.
• A logical, methodical approach to problem solving, backed by a strong numerical and analytical background.
• A track record of managing complex technical data teams across a variety of disciplines and objectives.
• Comfort working with stakeholders to understand their goals and translate them into data products.
• The ability to explain complex concepts simply and think laterally about the impact of change.
• A high level of attention to detail and the confidence to deliver under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Liveboards and AI Agents using Thoughtspot and Redshift, turning business requirements into clear visualisations.
• Develop Python and SQL based data pipelines within the Dagster and AWS ecosystem, documenting and testing data models through dbt.
• Contribute to the DataOps framework and tooling, improving patterns where you can.
• Ensure governance and compliance across the data estate meets regulatory requirements.
• Mentor Analytics Engineers, Data Engineers and Data Scientists, including supplier-based team members.
• Carry out ad hoc analysis and model development as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to discover new data uses and help the data community grow skills.
