Job summary

Seccl is expanding its data analytics capabilities and seeks a Data Analytics Engineer to shape production datasets and drive analytics across the business. You will combine software engineering and data modelling to deliver scalable data solutions and empower teams with actionable insights.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and client teams in a fast-paced fintech environment, contributing to real-time data processing and analytics maturity.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and data modelling skills with large datasets.
• Experience with Python and DBT, including testing and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.
• Understanding of dimensional modelling for analytics and BI.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, ideally AWS.
• Experience with event-driven/streaming data architectures (Kafka, MSK).
• Hands-on with an orchestration tool such as Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining robust data models using SQL and DBT.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineers, Operations, and client-facing teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Define and maintain metrics, modelling standards, and analytical best practices.
• Support real-time and incremental data processing using technologies like Kafka and MongoDB change streams.
• Make datasets well documented, easy to consume, and self-service for teams.
