Job description

ROW SHARP team is looking for technically strong Analyst for developing solutions to better manage/optimize/innovate in the field of Data Analytics while providing the best experience to our customers at the lowest possible price.

ROW SHARP’s BI and analytics team supports short- and medium-term planning across first-mile, transportation, resource planning, capacity planning, topology planning and GSF space. The team along with IN SC Tech owns and maintains a product called UFPP (Unified Forecasting and Planning Platform) which support models for forecasting, planning and operational needs. While the team is mostly focused on building forecasting models which are hosted on UFPP, they are also responsible for building visibility and insights (dashboards, reports), deep-dives (forecasting related or otherwise) and other analytics asks.

Key deliverables of the role:
  1. Work with Data Engineers to optimize the SQL queries and bring solutions to complicated tech problems.
  2. Automate data templates and reports.
  3. Address everyday issues raised by stakeholders.
  4. Build a SQL repository for ad-hoc requests and reports.
  5. Should be open to learn and develop skillsets in the latest technologies and analytical techniques.
  6. Should understand how data/analytical frameworks and their work translate to business on ground.
  7. Should be able to come up with innovative ideas for new work or to improve existing work.
Key job responsibilities

The successful analyst should be able to demonstrate:

  1. Strong Excel and SQL skills.
  2. Some hands-on experience with Python.
  3. Good innovative/explorative mindset since this role requires us to work on a lot of tools.
  4. Passion for converting data to insights, building frameworks for decision making, strong attention to detail and data fidelity.
  5. Ability to prioritize and focus on high impact areas.
  6. Teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  7. Communicate thoughts clearly and good verbal command.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 2+ years of data analytics or automation experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree.
  3. Knowledge of data pipelining and extraction using SQL.
  4. Knowledge of SQL/Python/R, scripting, MS Excel, table joins, and aggregate analytical functions.
  5. Experience with data mining tools such as SQL and some knowledge of Python for multi-mode transformation of data.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Prior experience with Redshift database, Datanet tool and other Amazon internal BDT tools.
  2. Innovation of some sorts in the field of data analytics or data engineering.
