Job summary

Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Examinations, Education and Faculties Directorate. The role focuses on data analysis, reporting, and supporting psychometric activities for RCSEd examinations and JCIE examinations.

You will work within the Psychometrics team, contribute to quality assurance, and help deliver high-standard assessments while enjoying hybrid working and 42 days of annual leave.

Qualifications

• Undergrad degree in science or social science.
• Proven experience with quantitative research methods.
• Ability to write academic-style reports to a high standard.
• Desirable: a postgraduate Masters in a science or social science subject.
• Desirable: good working knowledge of R coding and RStudio.

Responsibilities

• Data analysis for examination data and reporting to examination boards.
• Support Psychometrics team and exam staff in analysis and reporting.
• Assist in maintaining quality assurance processes and statistical analyses.
• Provide ad hoc data analysis and contribute to training as needed.
• Communicate findings to diverse audiences and support decision-making.
