Job summary

Investigo is recruiting a Data Analyst for a major government organisation on a 3-month remote contract. The role focuses on operational performance and modelling, delivering data-driven insights and dashboards using Power BI and Excel.

You will lead data analysis, design resource modelling and forecasting processes, and report on KPI performance. Strong Excel VBA, PivotTables, and experience with Power BI and SharePoint are required; adaptability to a fast-moving environment is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject area.
• Experience leading and managing personnel including highly technical analysts in resource modelling/forecasting and MI reporting.
• Experience designing training and sharing knowledge on data analysis, forecasting and reporting in an operational environment.
• Experience in resource modelling, forecasting and scenario modelling within an operational setting.
• Experience tracking performance against assumptions and KPIs in steady state.

Data Analyst - Power BI & Excel

A major government organisation are seeking a data analyst with Operational Performance and Modelling experience to join them on a 3 month remote contract.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject area

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience of leading and managing personnel including highly technical analysts involved with resource modelling/forecasting, data and MI reporting and analysis.
• Experience in analysing, assessing and reporting on processes with a view to making recommendations based on ongoing continuous improvement.
• Experience of designing training and sharing knowledge on best practice in data analysis, resource forecasting and reporting in an operational environment.
• Experience of design and implementation of resource modelling, forecasting and scenario modelling in an operational environment.
• Experience of performance tracking against both assumptions and KPI’s in steady state.
• Planning, co-ordination and organisational skills with the ability to meet challenging deadlines.
• Developer level knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros/VBA) and advanced skills in manipulate, manage, analyse and present data, including knowledge and experience with Pivot Tables, Excel Functions (such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, COUNTIF, IF, etc).
• Flexibility in approach, comfortable working in an environment that is fast moving and subject to ongoing change.
• Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to use own initiative.
• Experience using Power BI, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft SharePoint an advantage.
